Over the past week, seven of our writers have participated in a tournament to decide which Beatles album is the best.
The general consensus amongst our staff is that this contest was significantly more difficult that anyone anticipated. The Beatles didn’t get to be known as the greatest band in the world by having only one good album. Turns out it’s not that easy to explain why one album is the best when the rest are really good as well.
That said, I think our writers did an excellent job arguing for each album. Here are the articles.
Laura Baumgartner – Abbey Road
Katherine Bildsten – Love
Christian Montalvo – Magical Mystery Tour
Christian Petro – Revolver
Jessica Yoon – Rubber Soul
Ian Thomas Malone – Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band
Molly Moltzen – The White Album
The voting poll is up on the main page of the site. You can vote for which album you think is the best or for which article you think made the most compelling argument.
This article will also serve as the place to comment on which article you voted for and why if so desire. Happy voting.
