Still looking for a new club to join but not sure where to look? Loving your Perspectives class or wishing you had taken it freshman year? Vivos Vocos might be the perfect club for you.
Vivos Vocos is a philosophy group like no other on campus. Now, we won’t claim that it is the best one because that is not the purpose of its existence. It is not a debate club and its focus is not to determine who is right, but its goal is to look for what is true. It meets twice a week and looks through varied topics including what we all look for (the answer: happiness) and if it is ethical to kill a fly (answer: probably not, but this probably won’t stop us from doing so by accident).
This is a great club and is ideal for anyone with an open mind and a desire to learn. If you want to prove your own point and make your opinion the important one, I am sorry to inform you that this is not the club for you. But if you want to come discuss interesting topics for the sake of learning, then you will not be disappointed. The club meets every Thursday at 7 pm (at least for the remainder of this semester).
